Pretty overpriced and over hyped. The food was pretty underwhelming for what we paid, they don’t even offer any sides with the wings and gave us soggy fries. Also to add the staff were pretty rude and un-attentive to us. Overly long wait periods in between attending to us, never refilled our waters without us asking them, and even saw them standing around by the kitchen door looking bored. Was worth a try, won’t be back.
We only ate at the restaurant. Waitress was outstanding and very helpful. The only thing we didn't care for were the onion rings. The homemade chicken tenders were the best ever. The chocolate cream pie I had and the coconut cream pie my husband had was also the best ever. If it were not so far away we would for sure go again.
Well, you can't miss it! And if the service were better, it would have awesome. The food is ok too. Consider the location and they are doing great too as a business. The pub is also a cool place. I just wish the service had been better.
Been here a couple times and mood and environment are just what you would want up here in the country side! When its hopping its fun and the pit is great for a party atmosphere. The food on the other hand is mediocre at best. I've never once gotten nachos with zero flavor until now. I'm pretty sure they were microwaved as the cheese in the middle wasn't even melted and there was no sins that it was cooked in the oven. Typically the cheese & chips will get a toasty brown. The addition of onions & peppers was a bad call without being in a salsa, meat or sauce of some kind. And the chicken had absolutely no flavor either. The soup was barely warm and I suspect that this was also microwaved and also had no flavor what so ever. The food came out fast, I'll say that, but I guess that's what microwaves were made to do. Both meals we've had here were just eh! Gave it a second chance and it failed. But I guess how many other choices are there so...
I went about a week ago with my husband and we were impressed with the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Today however I had a terrible experience. My seafood casserole came with seafood undercooked and raw. I’m sure that it was a simple kitchen mistake - maybe two such orders at the same time and mine wasn’t cooked long enough. However I ate undercooked seafood before I discovered it. That makes me queasy…
The waitress took the meal back and cooked it more. What is upsetting is that if this was my business, I would have apologized- I have been to places where the chef would apologize and own their mistake. At least, my bill should have been adjusted. Instead, I’m just terribly upset and will never go back.
Hopefully me posting this, will mean this doesn’t happen to you.
Had dinner at the pub. Was busy, but the food came out fairly quick. I had the 1/2 fried chicken, was slightly disappointed chicken, it seemed like it was fried without the breading and didn't have much flavor and the coleslaw was not great. I love coleslaw, so I kind of wish places would take more pride in it when the meal standard comes with fries and slaw. Would try it again though.
We love this place..,..The rooms are Always ready early, they're spotless, and everyone there is awesome....The bartenders Kelly and Caroline are great people. The beauty of nature here is like nowhere else. If you want to be way off the beaten path, this is the place to go. We had a Mama and 3 cubs visit us as they are getting ready to hibernate.. This is our go to place when we go snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, hiking, or even just to relax ..
This review is for the pub and restaurant only (haven't stayed in the lodge). I love this place! Great food, reasonable prices, super people, and the atmosphere is so great - kind of a giant log cabin. It's really fun every season. Everyone in here is having fun, because so many of them are tourists on vacation, either off roading or snow mobiling. I've ordered lots of different things on the menu, and I can't really recommend one thing over the others, because I've never had a bad meal. Only downside is that since the pandemic, northern NH has gotten a bit crowded during certain times of the year, and service can be a little slow (not their fault!) DEFINITELY make the trip here.
